Drawing equipment advice?
Hi
i basically need to get a portfolio together for tattooing, and i need to get top grade materials, pens, pencils, paint, paper etc all so i can make a really professional looking portfolio.
First off paper - What paper is best, firstly all my drawing will be done in pencil, then move onto pens and then colour it in with pencils,paint, felt tips, makers etc what paper is best for this.
Pencils - What pencils will i need, want to get best possible sketches drawings i can out of them.
Drawing pens - Want to be able to get very clean, Professional illustrated look with them. What are the best brands
Colouring Pencils - What is the best brands to get the best quality in colouring.
Markers/Felt tip etc - What are the best for getting professional colours, illustrated look etc.
Paint/pastels/acrylics etc - What the best to use etc

Sakura felt tip pens are good for inking so are Staedtler pigment liners (both are waterproof). Also I know that Prismacolor markers, color pencils, water colors (Prismacolor anything really is high quality professional stuff). To tell you the truth though I don't think you really need those high quality materials to get a professional looking portfolio. It all depends on how well you are able to use the medium. If you ask me it doesn't really make a difference whether you use crayola color pencils or Prismacolor brand pencils (this is kind of random but watercolor pencils have soft lead which makes them easier to blend). As for good o'l graphite pencils just get a wide range of H and B (it you are looking for a brand name try Rembrandt).
You can also use a tablet in conjunction with drawing programs like Painter Sai and Corel Paint to render your designs (though learning the programs and getting used to the tablet could take a while).
