Is my tattoo healing properly? Should i be worried?
I got a tattoo 2 weeks ago. It is just above my ankle and is the size of my fist and it is a dragonfly. It is still scabby on some parts and i noticed colour if fading on some parts too. There is also some light redness around small parts of the tattoo, but the redness is not itchy, sore or bumpy. I've been applying bepanthan ointment on it 3 times a day and have kept it clean. I saw the artist and he said it was just a little skin irritation. I was also told that my tattoo will take longer to heal because i have 'Asian skin' around a month and a half. I was told to come back for a touch up in a month and a half. Should i be worried or is it just healing? and are there any tips to speed up the process.
If it helps the colours are black, white, pink, purple and aqua.
This is my first tattoo. Any advice on other healing care methods is apprichiated.
well it sounds to me like it is still healing....there is nothing to be worried about...uh for all my tattoos i have used A&D ointment... it works great...you cn also put neosporin on them to maybe help healing....color fading is nnormal...some people have to go back in after getting fresh ink to get the color retouched...so the color thing is nothing to worry about...this is your first tattoo im guessing lol i remember my first tattoo i was so scared it was healing wrong....but no worries sounds like it will be just fine....sounds like it is healing normally....
